Set up and start a practice session

Before each rehearsal you pick a persona, a call direction and the objection you want to practise. In this example Jordan Lee is preparing for a call with a restaurant client, Harbor & Vine Kitchen, so Jordan picks the restaurant owner persona.

  1. Start in the left panel

The left panel has three choices: Persona, Call direction and What to work on. Start practice session stays switched off until you have picked a persona and what to work on.

  2. Choose a persona

Open Persona and pick the business owner closest to your real client. Their name, role and the common objections for that persona appear below. Here it is Carla Diaz, Owner, Diaz Family Kitchen.

  3. Choose the call direction

Pick Outbound if you called them: you speak first. Pick Inbound if they called you: the persona opens the call with a short greeting.

  4. Choose what to work on

Pick a scenario under What to work on, or click one of the Common objections to select it for you. Here it is What's This Actually Worth, which practises Cost & ROI.

  5. Press Start practice session

The session starts straight away. The persona appears in the middle, the three coaching gauges show their starting values, and the timer starts.

  6. Read the briefing on the left

Once the session is running, the left panel shows the industry, call type, focus area and difficulty, a short scenario overview, the persona's key behavior traits and a few coaching tips.
